DESCRIPTION:It is time for the Annual Fontana Christmas Parade.  The city has asked for 15 to 18 cars to help carry various city officials and the Miss Fontana Princess and her Court.    The parade will kick off at 10:00am on Saturday December 14th\, 2019.  The theme this year will be “Magic of Christmas.” \nWe’ll meet at Rotolo at 8:15 and at 8:45 head down to the corner of Sierra and Arrow to the Chamber of Commerce Building. \nAfter the parade we’ll  drive out to El Rancho Restaurant for lunch – please sign up for lunch separately.

SUMMARY:Centerstage - Saturday Supper Club
DESCRIPTION:We are organizing a Saturday evening out at Centerstage in Fontana (corner of Sierra and Arrow – next to the Camber of Commerce Building).   The club used to do a couple of events a year at Centerstage\, even a couple of our Christmas parties.   Anyway\, they have contacted us and are inviting us for a night out that includes dinner\, the show and for those that can or want some dancing.   Below is a brief description. \nWe need a minimum of 5 couples or 10 people\, the price is $49.95 plus tax and tip per person.   Glenda and I are working on this together\, seems Glenda helped make costumes.  Sue and I ran into Jennifer and Todd (owners of Centerstage) at the C8 Reveal. \nIf you are interested please signup\, so we can get a tentative head count to make sure we can meet the minimum. \n \nTake a journey back in time to the 1950’s when Bobby Darin and Frank Sinatra ruled the airwaves and the great Supper Clubs ruled the night. Every Saturday night\, the house was packed with the sounds of the Big Band coming from the stage\, Martinis toasting at the tables\, and guests dancing ’til dawn. Our brand new SATURDAY NIGHT SUPPER CLUB will transport you back in time to when servers dressed in tuxedos\, Martinis and Manhattans were served with flair\, and you didn’t just watch the show\, you took to the dance floor when the main headline act was through. \nEach night will feature a different SPECIAL GUEST ARTIST alongside Todd Vigiletti and the Stargazer Orchestra. After the show is complete\, the dance floor will open to all guests for Big Band Music and Swing Dancing. \nNote: The ticket price for this event includes the main show and dancing after the main show. DESCRIPTION:Colony High School has asked us to help them out with their homecoming parade at half time.   They are asking for 7 Corvettes on Friday Sept. 20th. \nAs usual to be safe we want to have 8 actual cars at the event.  Seven cars as requested and one spare just in case someone gets hung up at work or in traffic.  This is the same night as the Los Altos’s game\, so we’ll be needing your help to fill the request for both schools. \nSpecial request since Ken is going to be at Los Altos that night\, Paul C. says he’ll take the lead role on this one.  God help us all! 🙂 \nWe will pre-stage behind the Farmer Boy’s restaurant on the northwest corner of S. Haven Ave. and E. Philadelphia St. at 6:30 pm\, drivers meeting at 6:45 pm then proceed to Colony HS to arrive at 7:00 pm. \nRemember the club uses these homecoming events to help offset our expenses each year. \nWe’ll plan on dinner at TG Friday’s after the game\, if you want to join us for dinner. \n

SUMMARY:The Painted Turtle - Pinewood Derby Racing
DESCRIPTION:Since 2003 PVCA has supported The Painted Turtle in one way or the other.  This year we have been asked to come up and help celebrate the Pinewood Derby races that are part of Hemophilia Week.   Our plan is to meet at 8:45 at Logan’s Roadhouse at Baseline and the 15 Fwy.  Driver meeting at 9:00.  Arrive at The Camp about 11:30 to have lunch with the kids and then help with the Pinewood Derby races in the afternoon. \nWe have set it up for the club to have our own Pinewood Derby race.  So build a car and bring it along\, we can have a race of our own before the kids show up. \nOur donation for the camp this year with be a 8’ ramp for kids in wheel chairs so they can get up onto the stage. \nIf there are any questions please contact Paul or Sue.  For more information visit: www.ThePaintedTurtle.com (website)

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the last social dinner of the year as we have an early dinner before we head over to Auto Club Speedway for the Magic of Lights show. \nIf you are not going to see the Magic of Lights show\, no worries you are welcome to join us for dinner. \nAs always please sign up on the website so we can give the restaurant a head count for dinner. We’ll do separate checks and ordering will be off the standard menu. \nDinner will be at 5:30 so we can head out about 7:15 for the Magic of Lights show.

SUMMARY:Unser Racing Museum
DESCRIPTION:Join us during our trip to the Balloon Festival for a morning looking at cool cars and racing stuff at the Unser Racing Museum.   We plan a lunch for after we walk around the museum for a couple of hours.   We do our tour on Tuesday October 9 at 10:45\, we’ll plan on meeting at the hotel for the quick drive over then afterwards we’ll plan on a lunch maybe a local brew. \nIf we get 30 people to sign up we will get a 20% discount.  Fee is $10 per person\, $6 if you are 60 or older or $6 for military.   We’ll collect the entry fee and pay in when we arrive.  Paul and Sue will collect the entry fees. \nFor more information check out their web site: http://www.unserracingmuseum.com/

SUMMARY:Thunderbirds at March Air Museum
DESCRIPTION:The Weekend of April 6\, 7 and 8th the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will be at March Air Field/Museum for the 100 anniversary of the Air Filed.   This is a full Airshow on Saturday and Sunday. \nMikey D. has arranged for the club to come down on Friday to hang out\, get some pictures and watch the practice.  there is no guarantee that we’ll get a full show.  If you are interested in joining us\, we will meet at Logan’s Roadhouse at 8:30am on Friday then drive down to March arriving bout 9:30 or 10.  Or if you prefer you can meet at the museum. \nYou’ll need to bring soda\, water and food including any snacks.   Also a folding chairs\, sunscreen\, etc would all be good.   If you want to plan on going for the full show you can buy your tickets online for Saturday or Sunday.  For more infomration check out the website at: https://www.marchfield.org/calendar/april-7-8-2018-march-centennial-air-show/ \nWe’ll pay a donation to get into the museum and Mikey is setting up special parking for us.
