SUMMARY:USS IOWA\, Harbor Cruise and Lunch
DESCRIPTION:Thanks to Brent and Melonee they are planning a trip on November 4th to the USS IOWA for the club.   There will be a harbor cruise and lunch also. \nMeet at 7:30 at the Costco parking lot\, 4th Street and I-15\, Ontario. We’ll caravan down. We’ll have a drivers meeting at 7:45 and head out at 8:00. \nWe should arrive at approximately 9:30-9:45 at the USS IOWA. The tour will being at approximately 10:00 am on November 4. It lasts approximately 1 1/2 – 2 hours. Cost is $13.50 per person (over 62 years young) or $16.50 if under 62. \nIf there are any issues with climbing stairs\, etc.\, arrangements can be made. I would need to know ahead of time. Everyone will purchase their own tickets there. We will have a special area for our cars. \nLunch: Lunch will be at the Acapulco Restaurant\, which is fairly close by. We will have a buffet lunch at approximately $20 per person. \nHarbor Cruise: We will cruise the harbor after lunch\, leaving from Ports of Call. Over 62 years young\, the price will be $8. Under 62\, $12. This is approximately 45 minute harbor tour\, showing the outside of the USS Iowa from the water and other special spots within the harbor. Again\, we’ll buy our own tickets when we arrive. \n  \n  \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:QUAKES vs SAN JOSE: JULY 15 at 5:15 pm\, which is early entry into the ball park for the PICNIC.   Timing of the event: Picnic at 5:15\, parade 6:30\, Game 7:05 with fireworks after \nWhat better way to spend a summer evening than with Corvettes\, friends\, a picnic and a ball game!!! \nThe group picnic includes hot dogs and hamburgers\, plus sides\, drinks and dessert. \nCost of the picnic INCLUDES the game in Club Seating (Section 4 behind home plate). \nGame begins at 7:05. There will be a fun fireworks show after the game. \nWe just sit back and enjoy – let them do all the work! \nThe cost of picnic and game is $23 per person. There will be $3 domestic & $4 premium 16-oz beers available during the picnic.\nThe maximum amount of people for the area is 50. We will be in the Pavilion area for the picnic.\nA final count MUST be given by June 30\, as well as the payment\, so we’ll have to cut off the RSVP by that date.\nThe parking manager will be working with me on the parking for us. AND – if they can pull it off – They would love to have a Corvette parade around the stadium prior to the game. If that can be arranged\, we may need to be there a little earlier. \nMORE INFORMATION TO FOLLOW\, BUT PLEASE RSVP  Melonee V. EARLY!
