DESCRIPTION:Replacement San Diego Run\nWEATHER UPDATE — As of 10:AM on Monday 3/17\, the forecast for Tuesday 3/18 is good. Sunny with a high of 51 at the higher elevations. There is a 50% chance of light rain tonight\, dropping to 0% by Tuesday morning.  I pre-ran the route on Saturday morning after the rain on Friday. The roads were OK with minimal water remaining and some light sand/dirt on the road in places. There was some snow accumulation at higher altitudes\, but none on the road. I expect it will be the same or better by Tuesday. \nUnless there is a significant change in the weather tonight\, WE ARE GO. \nRemember to bring your radios! I have a few loaners for anyone who doesn’t have one. \nWe will take backroads to lunch in south San Diego County. There is some beautiful scenery on the way. Lunch destination is The Pub at Lake Cuyamaca. I verified they can accommodate us for lunch and that there is plenty of parking. \nAfter lunch you can either head back home or continue on to San Diego for the night via CA 79 and Interstate 8. \nMeeting time: 8:00AM Ralph’s parking lot @ Milliken & Baseline\, Rancho Cucamonga; Drive off at 8:30 \nROUTE: I15 to Temecula; take CA 79 and Sunrise Highway to Kwaaymii Point\, then back to lake Cuyamaca  approximately 145-150 miles and 3-3.5 hours travel time. \nThe following information is provided for anyone who wants to stay in San Diego Tuesday night. \nHotel: Holiday Inn Express\,  Airport — Old Town: 1955 San Diego Avenue\, San Diego\, California 92110 United States1 888 HOLIDAY (1-888-465-4329) \nClick Here to make your hotel reservations or or call the reservations number \nTickets to Balboa Park attractions and Zoo can be purchased Here

DESCRIPTION:“Dancing in the Street”\nSATURDAY\, MAY 3\, 2024\n\n8:30AM-2PM\n\n \n\nFontana Days Parade 2025 is sponsored by The Exchange Club of Fontana which is also proud to host the 112th Annual Fontana Days Festival. \nThe 2025 Fontana Days Festival Theme is: “DANCING IN THE STREET” which will take place on Saturday\, May 3th at 10 a.m. on the corner of Sierra Avenue and Arrow Boulevard. \nParticipants will travel south on Sierra to Merrill Avenue and then will head east to Veterans Park (an approximately one-mile trek). \nPVCA has been asked to supply convertibles and removable roof cars for Miss Fontana and her Court and Miss Teen Fontana and her Court.  We need 12-16 cars for the girls. In addition\, various City and County VIPs often need a ride\, we typically need 1-8 cars for this function. (Up to 24 cars total.) Any club cars that have a fixed roof are welcome in the parade\, and will represent PVCA\, but will not count towards the total. \nThe parade starts at 10am\nWe’ll meet at Rotolo Chevrolet at 8:30am and head down to the starting line of the parade route at Sierra and Arrow HWY in Fontana at 8:45.\nYou will need Seat cushions and towels or blankets for the girls or VIPs to sit on.  PVCA will provide two 10” round white low-tac vinyl parade stickers for each car.\n\n\nFOLLOWING THE PARADE\, WE WILL DRIVE TO OGGI’S ON THE CORNER OF SIERRA AND HIGHLAND FOR LUNCH @ 11:30AM.
