You will then proceed into the Fair grounds at noon and do a parade around the Fair.  Cars will then be parked in a roped off area and you are then free to stay at the Fair for as long a you want\, whether it be 5 minutes or the rest of the day. \n

DESCRIPTION:We are going to meet at Sycamore Hills Plaza 2209 Base Line in Upland. 7:00am meet\, 7:15 drivers meeting and departure at 7:30.\nA day at the Museum and late lunch early dinner at Jan and Richards. We will be parking together out front on the grass\, visiting the museum and checking out all the classic Corvettes that are being judged by NCRS. Afterwards we will be going to Jan and Richards place for a bite to eat.\nSeptember 15\, 2018 cruise to Murphy Museum and then lunch at Richard and Jan Royall’s beach house on Silver Strand in Oxnard. \nRichard and Jan will provide lunch including assorted sandwiches\, potato salad\, chips and fruit. Also there will be water\, assorted beer and margaritas. If you prefer something else please feel free to bring it along as well as chairs. Ladies\, a simple dessert or cookies is appreciated. More to come from Phil and Sheena who are coordinating the cruise which will include the meeting time and place. \nNational Corvette Restorers Society Annual Corvette Judging Event\nSpecial Event | One Day Only!\nSaturday\, September 15\, 2018 \n\n\n\nThe Central Coast Chapter of the National Corvette Restorers Society will be hosting their annual judging event at our museum on Saturday\, September 15th. This show brings in the finest Corvettes in the area for a show and judging by experienced tech experts. Come early if you want at the Elks’ Lodge for an excellent Taco Tuesday’s meal.  Restaurant and bar are cash only.   Please sign up for Taco Tuesday separately if you plan on eating so we know how many members will be there for dinner and the Elks can properly plan staff and food.

SUMMARY:Irwindale Night at the Races
DESCRIPTION:The first of two nights that the club is invited to Irwindale Speedway for a night of races.   We will need to be there at 3:30.  Park to the right side of main entrance\, by the Main Grandstands.  when you enter the parking lot tell the people at the gate that you are there as part of the car club group.  About 4pm all the cars there for the races as part of the car club group will be taken around to the parking on the west side of the grandstands.   About 7pm  you’ll be escorted to the back of the track and then you’ll do a parade lap.   After the parade lap you will come back to the parking area west of the grandstands and then it is up to the grandstands to watch the races\, which will end about 10pm. \nThere is time to eat before we go on the track\, no alcohol if you plan on driving on the track.  the various snack bars open about 4:30 or 5:00.   Feel free to bring snacks or drinks (again no alcohol).   A folding chair is not a bad idea.
