DESCRIPTION:We will be going on a fun run hosted by Charles & Karyn Adamson up Angeles Crest Highway to Newcomb’s Ranch. Newcomb’s Ranch Inn was built in 1939; the Ranch has changed many times over the last several decades\, serving as a restaurant\, brothel\, hotel\, general store and gas station.  Much of the original two story structure was destroyed from a fire in 1976.  The building was rebuilt and opened as a restaurant for many years by Lynn Newcomb Jr. Today\, Newcomb’s Ranch is owned by Frederick H. Rundall\, a lover of nature with a passion for the mountains.  Many weekends you will find many car & motorcycle enthusiasts\, it looks to be a beautiful weekend so we are looking forward to a great run. SUMMARY:The Painted Turtle - Pinewood Derby Racing
DESCRIPTION:Since 2003 PVCA has supported The Painted Turtle in one way or the other.  This year we have been asked to come up and help celebrate the Pinewood Derby races that are part of Hemophilia Week.   Our plan is to meet at 8:45 at Logan’s Roadhouse at Baseline and the 15 Fwy.  Driver meeting at 9:00.  Arrive at The Camp about 11:30 to have lunch with the kids and then help with the Pinewood Derby races in the afternoon. \nWe have set it up for the club to have our own Pinewood Derby race.  So build a car and bring it along\, we can have a race of our own before the kids show up. \nOur donation for the camp this year with be a 8’ ramp for kids in wheel chairs so they can get up onto the stage. \nIf there are any questions please contact Paul or Sue.  For more information visit: www.ThePaintedTurtle.com (website)
