PVCA members who arrive at the same time will be able to park together. We will meet in the Costco Irwindale parking lot near Starbuck’s\, 1240 W Foothill Blvd\, Azusa\, CA 91702\, at 8:00 and head to the track at about 8:30 (time confirmed). \nNOTE: You are responsible to register and pay for tickets for the show and optional drag racing as outlined below and on the flyer. An RSVP here DOES NOT register you or provide tickets. \nFROM CAL-RODS: \nPlease join CAL-RODS Car Club on November 19th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm for the 1st Annual “Run with a Winner” Classic Car Show and Drag Race at Irwindale Dragstrip. We will be having a car show with music by DJ Carl of Jukebox Memories\, awesome custom-made awards\, a raffle and an opportunity drawing. While the car show is going on\, the racetrack will be blazing with the excitement of drag racing for you to enjoy. The cost to enter the car show and enjoy the drag racing is $40.00 for the car and the driver. \nIf that is not for you\, maybe you would like to run your car down the dragstrip and enjoy the car show? The cost to race your car is $60.00 for the car and driver. \n You can also do both events if you choose. Entering your car in the car show and drag racing for the cost of $100.00 including the driver. There is something for everyone. \nThe price of entry for spectators is $20.00 with kids 12 and under free. \n This event replaces the “Run with a Winner” Car Show\, formally held at Santa Anita Racetrack. It was a favorite of many car enthusiasts for over a decade\, but the change of ownership made it impossible to continue. \n Tickets are now available for both events\, but drag racing tickets are limited\, so purchase your tickets now if you plan to race. There were Porsche’s\, Corvettes\, BMW\,s\, Mazda’s\, VW’s and even a Tesla. \nThe Porsche Club offers entry level training with their instructors so you acquire the appropriate skills before you are on the track alone. It’s always good to know the track before you’re out alone. \nIt’s an excellent driver education program for anyone wanting to run their car on an actual road course. They offer this for free\, it’s nice to tip the volunteer instructors for their work. Whatever your skill level you run in groups with similar abilities. \nThey ran the 3.4 mile course.
