DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY\, OCTOBER 26\, 2024\n8AM-2PM\nALMOST EVERYONE HAS HEARD OF LIONS DRAGSTRIP.\nTHIS EVENT WILL BRING BACK MANY FOND MEMORIES OF THAT BY-GONE ERA! \nJOIN PVCA FOR A TRIP TO THE LION’S AUTOMBILIA MUSEUM\nPOMONA VALLEY WILL BE THE FEATURED CAR CLUB!\nCOST IS 15.50 PER PERSON\nWE NEED AT LEAST 12 CARS\, BUT WE WOULD REALLY LIKE TO SHOW OFF ALL OUR UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT GENERATIONS\nThe Lions Automobilia Foundation and Museum was founded in December 2019 by Southern California businessman and car enthusiast\, Rick Lorenzen. It’s nearly 100\,000 sq. ft. facility includes galleries featuring Southern California’s infamous car culture and motorsports history. The experience begins as visitors walk in thru a 1960’s speed shop with genuine parts hanging off the walls and then enter the Main Street Gallery lined with classics automobiles parked in front of a 1950’s diner. The visitor experience has been described as mind-blowing\, as each gallery reveals the human experience with the automobile. Lions is more then just a museum. The Lions Automobilia Foundation takes persevering automotive history to the next level with its onsite restoration facility. As visitors walk through the galleries\, they will find that many of the vehicles on display were restored by the Lions Team. \nAFTER THE EVENT WE’LL ALL GO TO LUNCH\nMEETING DETAILS AND TIME\nWe will meet at the Park and Ride in San Dimas on Via Verde Drive at the 57\, adjacent to the Via Verde Corporate Plaza. \nMeeting time 7:00 AM. \nBring your radios. \n\nPark and Ride\n140 Via Verde Drive San Dimas\n\n\nReservations for lunch after the museum at 2:30 PM will be at:\n\nSmoke & Fire Social Eatery \n8009 Alondra Blvd.\nParamount\nSmoke and Fire Social Eatery – Family Style Restaurant in CA (thesmokeandfire.com)\n\nIt is only a few miles from the museum and can accommodate us either in the dining room or their patio. Right now it is set for 25 people\, but it looks like we only have 6 cars signed up so far.
