General information:  Run area: Malibu Mountains. Run distance ~125 miles start to no-host lunch location, total distance ~195 miles round trip from startling point. Run time from start to lunch location ~3.5 hours (including stops). We will take rest stops every 60-90 minutes. Printed detailed route navigation directions will be provided at the driver’s meeting. Following the directions is not difficult and we will be in communication via the radios to alert for upcoming turns. You can certainly do it by yourself, however a navigator can be helpful.

We will have contests for the following: (1) Total mileage to the closest tenth as recorded on the lead car’s odometer. (2) Lead car total elapsed time to the closest second from starting roll-out to parked at lunch location. One entry each item, per-car.  PVCA members and guests may participate in the contest, however only members will be eligible to win the prizes.

Be sure to have your valid driver’s license, car registration, and current proof of insurance with you.

All participants must complete and sign the NCCC release waiver at the driver’s meeting: Adult Release and Waiver Form; Minor Release and Waiver (Parental Consent) Form

Guidelines: This event is NOT timed or competitive. You are traveling on open public roads. As such, you are responsible for following all traffic laws. Note that canyon roads may have debris, rocks, gravel, dirt, water, bicycles, motorcycles, other cars, pedestrians, and local wildlife. Be courteous to slower traffic and give them a friendly wave. Drive safely and have fun!

Members bring your club radios

Guests can use any GMRS radio with standard CTCSS privacy sub-codes. Channel and privacy code will be provided at the drivers meeting.

Meeting location Sycamore Hills Plaza, in the Wendy’s parking area.

Time: 7:30AM meet, 7:45 drivers meeting, and departure at 8:00AM sharp!
