The day started with a number of Corvettes meeting at the Double Tree in
Ontario. There was a definite chill in the air with a hint of sprinkles.
We would have had twelve shiny Corvettes had two of our members braved the
elements but as usual Ansel and Merrill kept them bundled up nice and warm at
home and drove their steel cars.

After everyone arrived it was off for dinner with a stop first at a local winery.
.

Unfortunately the wine tasting was shut down which was a big mistake for the
winery. A few bottles were purchased and everyone had a chance to look
around. It was a nice visit but stomachs were beginning to grumble so it
was off once more. As it turned out we had a small run through some very
nice areas with a challenging drive through the foothills and on up into the
mountains. Hmm, I wonder why Joanna was bringing up the rear.
Usually the organizer for the event leads the group. As I was driving my
steel car she probably thought I would get lost by not keeping up with the
Corvettes. Not to worry I didn't get lost and managed to hang on. As
we turned onto the bridge to get to the restaurant we found to our delight that
their sign
was set to greet us. We were provided with our own parking lot which was
Corvettes only, well they allowed the two steel cars as we were part of the
group. It is cold so with a mad dash to the restaurant it was time to dine
and enjoy the company of all. As it was St Patties day the featured item
was corned beef and cabbage. Green beer was available but we had plenty of
wine and the food was good. Least I forget, not everyone had corned beef
as prime rib, chicken and fish were also available. After dinner it was
coffee and desert. I very nice evening was had by all. /Ansel
