Visit to the Painted Turtle

February 7th 2004

The Presentation

This was an exciting day for PVCA.  The efforts of the membership to raise monies for a charity had come to fruition.  Twenty-eight Corvettes and passengers accounted for fifty-six members of PVCA all ready to head out to the Painted Turtle (To see mini albums of the pictures just click on any picture).

After everyone had their morning coffee and a brief drivers meeting we headed off towards Angeles Crest Hwy.

These next couple of pictures have us stopped on the road waiting to re-group.  As we had almost thirty cars we broke into three groups.  This would help keep traffic problems to a minimum.

We have arrived at the Painted Turtle.  The series of pictures in this small album shows the Corvettes being parked and some of the buildings being built to house the children and their parents.

In this next album we find PVCA being welcomed to the Painted Turtle and being taken on a tour of the facilities.

The Check

It has been a grand day at the Painted Turtle and it is now time to say good-by.  Everyone is getting tired and hungry.

We now head down the road to a small dinner called Harley's Cafe.  After we have all had a bite to eat it is time to head home...
