| The morning started out with warnings from the weather folks telling us of possible morning rain and cloud cover. We arrived at our meeting place prior to 8:30 AM and the skies were clear with the sun shinning brightly. Randy informed us that the weather would clear before noon? Hmmm, I wonder how much clearer could it get... The photo's below show some of our members waiting in the parking lot of Denny's. After a few more arrivals we would be off. I need to point out that we had several past members present from the era of late '60's to early '70's, Jeff Butler and Bob. Glad you guys could make it and we hope to see more of you. I would also like to thank Jeff for some of his pictures. Have a look at Dave and Emily's beautiful paint job. We left Denny's with eleven cars heading for the Nethercutt Museum out in Sylmar.
We had the wonderful fortune of joining up with the group from the Corvette Forum. They had arraigned for a tour and were able to include us. My thanks to Chuck and the Corvette Forum. Our tour was underway at 10 AM and lasted two and a half hours. It could easily have lasted much longer. I had taken many pictures but for the sake of space I will limit how many I post. The above fire engine is in the main building. Naturally I couldn't pass it up.

For you VW fans All the vehicles are operative and they are driven! From the stairway looking down into the Grand Ballroom.
The Nethercutt's
The Mascot Collection includes more than 1,100 hood ornaments, many of Lalique crystal The Musical Collection Part of the Musical Pocket Watch Collection A serious discussion!
The two pictures below show the dinning room where the Nethercutt's used to dine. This was prior before moving to Brentwood where they now live. Note that the chairs have but one arm. Can you guess why? If you look closely in the second photo you will see an endless array of chandeliers and on even closer examination you will see that this photographer even captured himself. Because of having reservations for lunch we needed to cut short our visit to the Nethercutt Collection. We rushed back to the Corvettes as we had a date in Encino. After parking it was a rush to lunch, some were hungry!
All sitting at the table waiting to order After a good lunch it was off to Pasadena for shopping and you guessed it, Dinner. As we all got parked in Pasadena's Old Town, Shelley jumped out of the car and proclaimed "I did it"
Yes she did, her first time out in the Vette without Randy D. Hmmm, it's not raining but have a look at the wipers... It was an exhausting trip from the parking lot, I'm not sure if Randy is holding up the light post or if it is holding up Randy!
After a fun time shopping and standing in line at Starbucks
it was time for dinner. Mark Dawson our Activities
Chairman who was responsible for today's run chose the Clearwater Seafood
Restaurant.
Clearwater Seafood has been bringing quality seafood at reasonable prices to Old Town Pasadena since 1993. This traditional American fish house invites guests to relax in a warm, friendly environment and enjoy the ultimate seafood experience. By the this time a couple of our members had departed as the day has been long but we had Harry and Charlene join us. Dinner was good and a few of us found Ghirardelli's for dessert
