On Saturday August 21, 2004, five corvettes from PVCA caravanned to the Corvette Super Sports 3rd annual all Corvette Car Show and BBQ held at the Elks Lodge in Buena Park.. Drivers and passengers were Scott Erickson, Ron Stark, Duane and Elora Stidham, Randy and Glenda Goff and Danny and Rosemary Rodriguez. Others who met us at the show were Randy Dimit, Dave and Emily Armas plus Merrill and Marjean Shupe. Because this was also PVCA 1st annual Hot August Night Dessert run Kathy and George Banerian, who had been at a party in the area, joined us in their steel car for dessert after the show.
All entrants had an individual picture of their car taken in lieu of event T-shirts. We were directed to designated areas that grouped the different classes of Corvettes, i.e., C1, C2, C3, C4 and C5s, making it easier for the cars to be judged.
A large covered patio provided shade for those wanting to stay out of the sun, along with ample amounts of tables and chairs. Hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks, and a BBQ dinner were available throughout the day. The air was filled with music from a D J playing a wide variety of tunes. As with most car shows, a raffle and auction was held. Some of our members came away as lucky winners.
The car show had a LOT of great looking Vettes, (aren�t all Vettes good looking?). At the shows conclusion, awards were given out; Danny and Rosemary�s beautiful �96 Grand Sport won 3rd place in its class.

When all the awards were given out, Super Sports members formed a reception line, shook our hands and thanked us for coming to support their car show and charities. (A very nice personal touch.)

On the way home, we stopped at Frisco�s Restaurant for our Hot August Night Dessert Run enjoying the recap of the day, great fellowship, good food and cute dancers. Some of us took the �scenic� route to Frisco�s.
