B2P Event - Tour a LA City Fire Boat.
We are planning a great day at the LA Fire Department Fire Boat in San Pedro. This is a repeat of a very popular run and is being held in honor of the club's 50th anniversary.
We are planning a tour of the Fire Boat house followed by lunch at one of the restaurants within easy driving distance from the station.
For those who still can't get enough of the fire service, there is a great LA City Fire Museum (Old 36's) very close to where we will be having lunch. It is open on Saturdays until 3:00 pm. It won't be part of our official day, but it might be something that some of our group would like to see on their own. We are looking forward to an exciting day! More specific detais to follow.

Here is the information for the upcoming FireBoat tour:
We will meet at the Grand Avenue exit off the 210 Freeway (going west) in the Denny's parking lot. As you exit the freeway, turn left and you will see the Denny's immediately on your left. You might wish to come a bit earlier to have breakfast. We will meet at 8:45 am with the driver's meeting at 9:00. At approximately 9:15 we will leave for Fire Station 49 in San Pedro.
The fireboat tour will be about an hour to an hour and a half. We are planning a buffet luncheon on the patio on the water at Acapulco restaurant at Ports O'Call in San Pedro at about 12:00 pm. We will be having a taco and tostado buffet. The price will be $15.00 which includes the buffet, a beverage, tax and gratutity.
Please email us if you are NOT planning to have lunch with us, as we are having to put down a deposit to guarantee the number of our group. Children ONLY may order off the menu. The price does NOT include any children's meals. Diana will be collecting money for the lunch at the driver's meeting. You may pay cash or by check made out to Diana or myself.
We are looking forward to celebrating PVCA AND the Fireboat's 50th anniversaries with this run! We will be also celebrating LA's finest.
